J Dilla a.k.a. Jay Deeが手掛けたトラックを集めた(アンオフィシャルな)コンピレーションシリーズの第2段。
今回もDe La Soul、Keith Murrey、Common、Busta Rhymesと錚々たるアーティストのプロデュースワークを手掛けたというJay Deeの功績を感じることが出来る内容。
が、Daft PunkのA1『Aerodynamic (Jay Dee Remix)』→ Four TetのA2『As Serious As Your Life (Jay Dee Remix)』から始まる、セルアウトされている楽曲を敢えて避けるかの様なクレジットに拍手。
また、Busta Rhymesとの、C3『Ill Vibe (Jay Dee Remix)』、Macy GrayのD2『I Try (Jay Dee Remix)』etc. は、Jay Deeの良さを余すことなく感じることが出来る名曲もバッチリ収録。
年代、レーベル問わず組み込まれたトラック群はファンには嬉しい限り。Jay Deeの素晴らしさを改めて感じることが出来ます。
